A funded fellowship position is presently available for a period of 12 months in lower GI cancer starting July 1st 2022 at the Jewish General Hospital, McGill University, in Montreal, Canada.
The successful candidate will be exposed to a large practice of lower GI tumors, the opportunity to acquire experience in HDR and 50 kv endorectal brachytherapy in the treatment of patients with rectal cancer, IMRT brachytherapy, IMRT treatment of pelvic tumors and SBRT of patients with olimetastases. During this fellowship, the candidate will learn to evaluate and monitor patients with rectoscopy evaluation, imaging, will be exposed to 50 kv endocavitary technologies for early rectal cancer.
An important aspect of this fellowship is the unique opportunity to participate to translation studies in artificial intelligence, immunotherapy and non-operative management of rectal cancer phase II and III and also phase 1 / 2 clinical trials innovative targeted technologies a new non-invasive therapy allowing targeted and non-systemic treatments in oncology and other diseases requiring targeted and direct delivery of therapeutic agents combined with interstitial brachytherapy approaches for breast, ENT, pancreatic and rectal tumors.

Montreal is a bilingual city and it will be a major advantage but not mandatory for the candidate to speak English and French.
